We have a courtesy truck and trailer provided free to assist your move into Hi-Tech Self Storage. The truck even has a hydraulic lift on the back to help with the heavier items and the trailer is fully enclosed so the weather won’t delay your move. Is there a minimum rental period for a storage unit?
Customers are required to pay 1 month in advance and this is the minimum storage period. 7 days written notice is required if they wish to move out.
The portion of the unused rent, after the notice has been served, will be refunded to the customer after the initial 1st month.
How much does self storage cost?
Rentals start from as little as $15 a week for a 1m x 1.5m unit, however there are many different sizes available and the cost will depend entirely on what size space you decide you need. Have a look at our space calculator or speak to our friendly staff, they will help you identify the right unit size.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, there is a refundable deposit payable when you begin your contract for storage. The maximum deposit required would be $40.
What options do I have to pay my rental?
You can authorize an automatic charge on a Credit Card or your Bank Account on your due date using EziDebit, send us a Cheque, arrange a Direct Debit with your bank, or come into our on-site office to pay over the counter. Most customers will pay monthly; however you can receive a discount if you make a payment in advance of either 3, 6 or 12 months.
Will anyone else have a key for my storage unit?
Absolutely not, you can bring your own padlock or purchase one of ours, either way you hold the only keys.
What hours can I access my unit?
Units 1 to 2068 (using a valid access fob)
7am to 7pm Every day
Units 3001 to 3162 (using your unique pin code)
24 hour access Every day
Are the storage units clean and dry?
Yes, all our units are thoroughly cleaned after each customer and treated to keep out unwanted pests. Our facility has advanced storm water drainage to ensure your goods remain dry. We do however recommend you purchase insurance to cover your possessions whilst in storage; ask our staff for assistance.
What about security?
The premises in our 7am to 7pm access facility are fully fenced and topped with barbed wire. Entry is via our automated security gates using your access fob, every entry and exit is recorded, beam alarms cover the perimeter and caretakers live on the site.
The 24 hour access facility is likewise fully fenced and topped with barbed wire. Entry is via automated security gate using your PIN. Each space is also individually alarmed. Totally secure for your peace of mind.
Can you help with packaging supplies?
Yes we sell tea chests, book boxes, bubble-wrap, tape, padlocks, butchers paper, archive boxes and marking pens. See our display in the office.
Are my goods insured in storage?
Because the goods are yours it is up to you to insure them. Some insurance companies such as NRMA, GIO and AMP will transfer your existing contents insurance policy; just advise them where your goods are, like changing address. Alternatively you can purchase insurance through our broker Midland Insurance. Ask for a brochure.
